Rectoral do Umia

D.O. Rías Baixas

Legend has it that the first Albariño vines were brought by sea to the mouth of the river Umia by monks on a pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela. The sun and the earth in this area, with its special microclimate, welcomed these vines and years later, coinciding with the golden age of our world in the 17th century, our forefathers expanded the wine throughout the world.
